SUMMARY:Britta Jaschinski - PHOTOGRAPHY - A Catalyst for Change
DESCRIPTION:Keyworth Camera Club are delighted and honoured to be hosting a talk by internationally acclaimed photographer Britta Jaschinski on Thursday 13th January 2022 at 7.30pm via Zoom. \nBritta was born in Bremen\, Germany and moved to the United Kingdom in the 1990s. Since then she has developed a prolific career in photojournalism. \nBritta’s work has been recognised with awards in many of the top photography competitions and also the Magnum Photography Award. Her list of accolades is superb: she is a regular speaker on the European photo festival circuit and has featured on the jury of leading international photo competitions. \nShe is the only photographer to have received the grand title of European Wildlife Photographer of the Year twice and has been selected by the Royal Photographic Society in its prestigious Hundred Heroines list. \nShe follows the exploitation of animals in many forms from the international smuggling of animals as pets\, to the way in which animals are illegally hunted around the world. Her investigative images can be hard hitting and yet they are hauntingly beautiful and always inspiring. \nShe is the co founder of the group Photographers against Wildlife Crime\, together with editor and writer Keith Wilson. This group comprises an international selection of photographers who have joined forces to use their iconic images to help bring an end to the illegal wildlife trade in our lifetime. \nBritta normally gives talks to huge audiences at photography festivals and conservation events around Europe so we are delighted and extremely fortunate that she has agreed to speak to Keyworth Camera Club. \nTo read more about Britta her Bio can be downloaded below. \nBiography 2021 \nTo purchase a ticket just add one to the basket and click “Get Tickets”
