Diane Seddon – Odd Things Part 2
Di shares images and details of photographers who have inspired her. It will focus on the background to composite photography, including what it was used for and how it was perceived by painters of the day. Should be a great start to the season.
Jack Perks – Nottinghamshire Wildlife
Jack has visited before and he will once again enthral us with some new images. He continues to be involved in sharing his work on TV including Springwatch, Mr Crabtree Goes Fishing and The Great British Year.
David Cudworth – Zero to One Hundred and Beyond
Dave, is a well know award winning photographer and we have seen many of his amazing images in the N&EMPF exhibition. He will share some of his images and explain his motivation to seek out new and exciting photographs.
Chris Newham – Adventures in the Middle of Nowhere
Chris is a relative newcomer to photography but has made rapid progress in recent times. He will be sharing a “spectacular” selection of photos, videos and stories of great adventures in the Faroe Islands.
Carol McNiven Young – Creative Studio Portraiture
Carol is known to many of us as a first rate judge and award winning photographer. In this talk she will cover the main techniques and methods of creative portraiture including posing models, selecting costumes and props and explaining compositing.
Kathryn Cooper – Capturing Motion
Kathryn Cooper is a photographic artist based in Sheffield, most well known for her studies of the motion of flocks of birds. In this presentation she talks about how she develops her creative process, lessons to be learned from image makers through history and the benefits of working on a subject that is close to home.
Robert Falconer – Iceland
Robert has been to the club before and this time he will be sharing images from a photography trip he took to Iceland back in 2016, travelling over 1,000 miles to capture geysers, icebergs and the Northern Lights.
Chris Dale – The Local Landscape
Chris will be exploring the benefits of photographing our area, in particular North Nottinghamshire, and showing the value of repeat visits, getting to know the landscape at an intimate level, shooting longer term projects and the opportunities these approaches can open up. He will be showing a range of images from his local patch and projects...
Lois Webb – China from the Inside
Living within China, amongst the people, offered Lois opportunities and experiences she may not have been given as a tourist. Her presentation charts the progress of her photography, from enthusiastic family snapper to professional photographer and tutor, through images of her hometown, Shanghai, to across the length and breadth of the vast country of China.
