First Competition Evening 2020-21

The first round of our internal competition was held on October 8th and it was extremely well supported, so much so that we had to reduce the amount of entries to make it possible to have all the images assessed in the time available.

Across the three categories, open colour, nature and the theme of a subject that began with the letter C, we presented to our judge, Sue Hartley CPAGB, 83 images. Sue said that she always enjoys commenting on our work as she gets to see some great photographs and tonight met her expectations.

Sue gave terrific feedback, making a point of stating that we’d presented her with a great variety of subject matter across all three sections, and added it was wonderful to see flora along with the usual fauna in the nature category. Sue also praised the high quality of our nature photographs. Sue liked how our members had entered some good images that weren’t of typical camera club subjects or style in all three categories.

Thank-you Sue for your excellent assessment of our work and the encouraging comments you gave us all.
