Congratulations to our Chairman Ron Maslin. One of his photographs has been chosen as the monthly winner in the Rushcliffe Local News. Ron tells us he didn’t even know he’d won, he only found out when he saw his image in print (even though they’ve spelt his surname wrong).
Hopefully Ron’s success in this competition will inspire more of our members to submit entries.
On Thursday February 4th we showed part of N&EMPF’s 66th exhibition. Why part? 2021 attracted record breaking entries and acceptances which saw 344 entrants submitting 2627 images of which 593 were accepted. This meant the exhibition was too long to show over a single evening, so we decided to choose two sections for this night…
Our latest fun weekly themed competition has come to a close, the subject this time being breakfast. The entries included straight record images and those with a more creative approach. All the entrants chose to present their work in colour. Voting was fairly tight and any one of three images could have taken top honours….

We are very pleased to announce that Paul Burrows was notified yesterday that his image “Common Blue” was chosen by the National Trust as the winner of their Instagram competition to celebrate the #BigButterflyCount.
