Another Season Draws to a Close

Thursday 28th of May saw another successful Keyworth Camera Club season draw to a close with the annual presentation of trophies to those who’d won our in-club competitions. We also watched a short AV of the winning photographs and took a detailed look at the programme for the 2026/2027 season which has been crafted to develop the new direction KCC is planning to move into – these changes have been made so there will be considerably more opportunity to look at work in a variety of styles from all our members and see us getting out and about as a club more than we do now. We will also be launching a number of specialist groups that will meet on nights other than Thursdays. More details of all this will appear on our website and this Facebook page soon.

Please click on Awards 2025-26 to see who won what in our closely contested competitions which saw a leap forward in the quality of our photographs – it’s not just us saying this, as this is a comment made by the all the judges that visited our club to assess our work. Hearty thanks to Steve Walters, Dave Stewart, Phil Newman, Ian Pinn, Sean Taylor, Ashley Franklin and Jorj Malinowski for their encouraging and helpful critiques of our images. We’d also like to thank all the speakers (too many to list here) for their inspirational presentations that have fuelled our minds with new ideas to incorporate into our own photography. Final thanks go to our committee members who have worked tirelessly to ensure the club ran smoothly throughout the season and to our members who supported our weekly endeavours.
