N.&.E.M.P.F. PDI Interclub Championships

For the first time in many years Keyworth Camera Club entered the N.&.E.M.P.F. pdi interclub championships held this afternoon (Sunday 07th March) via Zoom and we far exceeded our expectations, finishing joint 9th out of 25 clubs.

All the photographs had been assessed by three judges Jenny Hibbert MPAGB EFIAP/s AWPF, Peter Patterson FRPS MPAGB MFIAP and Glyn Edmunds ARPS APSA EPSA EFIAP/g, each marking the images from 2 to 5, so each photograph could score anything from 6 to 15.

We had to submit a bank of 20 photographs, nominating our first 8 choices and their scores would count towards our overall total. Of our remaining 12, only our top 8 scores would count.

There were some excellent images to be seen throughout the competition covering a broad variety of subject matter and styles and many photographs scored highly. The eight images accompanying this report are our top scorers, the top four getting 14’s and the others 13’s, which indicates that one or two of the judges gave them maximum points. None of our other images scored lower than 11, so we should all be very proud of our result.

Congratulations to Rolls Royce P.S. for taking top honours. Here are the rankings for the top ten clubs.

  • 1st Rolls Royce (Derby) P.S. – 220 points
  • 2nd Nottingham & Notts. P.S. – 209
  • 3rd Bolsover C.C. – 208
  • 4th Chesterfield P.S. and Peterborough P.S. – 204
  • 6th Beeston C.C., Newark & District P.S. and Deepings C.C. – 203
  • 9th Keyworth C.C. and Synergy – 202
