Members Night November 2019

November 7th saw four KCC members give twenty-minute presentations of their choice and we were treated to some excellent imagery and observations about their photography.

John opened the night by showing how he had applied techniques learnt over the years of being a club member to his images to improve them. He also showed a short sequence of time lapse photography that had some of the audience eager to try this themselves.

Bev was next to take centre stage and began by showing some of her early photographs, scans from prints, which included pictures of the cameras she’d had over the years. One of Bev’s favourite subjects was water and she showed a variety of images featuring this.

After a short break, Ken, a new member, talked us through a number of themes he enjoyed photographing and explained his thought process behind them. Ken said, that after only being a member of KCC for a short while, he had learnt that he needed to get closer to his subjects if he wanted to do well in competitions.

Our final speaker was another new member, Jules. Landscape photography was the main theme of his presentation that he illustrated with some moody images taken whilst walking around various parts of the world.

All four talks were greatly appreciated by the audience and many questions were asked making this a terrific interactive evening too.

KCC would like to offer their thanks to all four for taking the time to put together their presentations and thoroughly entertaining the membership.
