Fine Art Workflow

On Thursday November 4th Keyworth Camera Club was visited via Zoom by David Garthwaite. He gave us his presentation Fine Art Workflow. This was a fascinating look at how David creates his stunning architectural images.

David took up photography in 2017. He told us about his background in photography and his inspirations that helped him create his current style. He explained how he finds and researches his subjects and said how looking at the building to be photographed from different angles and viewpoints helps him choose the best vantage point.

The bulk of the talk was taken up with a live demonstration of how he edits his images in Photoshop. Most of this work involved the use of selections. David’s explanations were clear and easy to follow and he was very willing to answer the many questions his workflow prompted from our membership as we watched him transform a very ordinary photograph into a spectacular image.

We’d like to take this opportunity to publicly thank David from this truly inspirational and educational evening. If you’d like to learn more then please follow this link: https://dgshot.uk
