December Review 2024

December’s first talk was given by Lesley Grand-Scrutton, a highly-regarded local photographer who has mounted a number of public exhibitions over the years. Her subject was ‘Some of My Favourite Things’ and her talk was presented as prints. Lesley’s images were grouped into panels covering a wide range of subject matter. Lesley told the stories behind her photographs and revealed some of the technical details about how she created and printed her work.

Our next meeting was our third internal competition which attracted over 60 entries. Our assessor for the evening was Ashley Franklin whose expert judging was appreciated by all. The images accompanying this post are the three category winners and you can see these and the other placed images by following this link: https://keyworthcameraclub.org.uk/round-three-2024-25

December being a shortened month for us due to taking a break for Christmas and the New Year meant that our next meeting was the last of 2024. Keyworth Camera Club held a lively Xmas social event that was well attended – it’s good to talk…especially about photography.

If you’re thinking about joining our club, now would be a good time as membership fees are reduced as we just have half the season left. Our next seven meetings will be held on Zoom, with a return to the hall on February 27th. More details can be found on our website: https://keyworthcameraclub.org.uk/
